STUBE Baden-Württemberg invites you to the Webinar
Between two Cultures
Study in Germany, Return and Work successfully in the Home-Country
22nd – 24th May 2020
Agenda:
The Webinar starts on Friday afternoon at 4 pm.
On Saturday we will have some speakers from India, Indonesia and Yemen.
At Sunday late morning we will have one last session.
You will get the agenda after your registration next week.
Topic:
To study in another country is a great asset, however it is also a big challenge and may trigger a feeling of uncertainty. Living in a foreign country might induce fears, but it is also a chance to see familiar things in a new light and to get acquainted with the unfamiliar environment. Most students adopt this new perspective during their studies in Germany. It is a lengthy process to develop the capabilities to live between two cultures.
Upon your return home as a well-qualified professional you are perceived as a ‘stranger’ and you need to first adjust to the old environment once again. Sometimes settling in is more difficult than going to a foreign land.
In this seminar we would like to:
· deliberate about living between different cultures and the feeling of being foreign/local
· inform you about specific steps for preparation for return during and towards the End of your studies
· discuss the problems associated with return
· reflect upon reintegration as a process
Registration:
The seminar is for free!
Please register for the seminar until the 20th May on our homepage: https://www.stubebw.de/en/application
