Orientation Program in August and September 2021

The International Office offers an online orientation program that will help you settle in and feel comfortable.

Dear international students,

The start of your studies in a new country can be quite challenging. To help you settle in quickly, the International Office offers an orientation program for degree seeking students. Within this program we offer special information meetings that will help you find your way around in Germany and at the University of Stuttgart.

 

Students planning their arrival in September or participating in the Intensive German Course of the International Office are invited to join the Pre-departure information on August 26, 2021 at 3 pm (local time). We will provide information on what to consider when planning your arrival in Stuttgart. Please find the login in the attached file.

 

You arrived in Stuttgart and would like to pick up a Welcome Package? Please come by the International Office, Pfaffenwaldring 60, 70569 Stuttgart. We will provide you with a Welcome Guide and Welcome Checklist, city maps and many more informative leaflets on September 1, 2021 10 am - 12 pm and 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm. - No registration required come by and get your Welcome Package. You missed the appointment? Please send an email to incoming@ia.uni-stuttgart.de (after September 1, 2021!)  

 

You need help to deal with the initial formalities in Stuttgart? Please sign up for our Guidance on formalities on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 3 pm or on Monday September 6, 2021 at 3 pm. No registration required  https://unistuttgart.webex.com/meet/incoming31

From September 10, 2021  onwards the offer will take place weekly on Fridays at 10 a.m.

 

Living in Stuttgart will be different to what you are used to. Join the online seminar to learn about health care system, housing rules, sorting garbage and getting around safely. Living in Stuttgart for newbies on  Friday, September 3 at 3 p.m. Please find the login attached file.

 

Organizing your studies is a major challenge for your first semester. This online seminar gives you insight in the basics of academic life in Stuttgart. Studying in Stuttgart for newbies  on Monday, September 6 at 3 p.m. Please find the login attached file.

 

For additional questions, it is possible to contact employees of the Department International Students via Webex as part of an open online consultation hour on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1.30 p.m. - 4 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. https://unistuttgart.webex.com/meet/incoming31.

 

With the extensive program, we hope to cover most of the questions and important topics for new international students.
